No one should have to put their own safety or that of a beloved companion at risk.
Pet owners in crisis must know their loving companions are safe and receiving the best of care in order to start caring for themselves.
PetsEmpower provides temporary pet fostering for people in crisis until they can be reunited with their furry companions. We enable people to move through crisis with the knowledge that their relationship with their pets will be preserved.
PetsEmpower's story begins with the story of its founder, Jordan Ross. After graduating from college, Jordan found himself in an abusive home situation. Local shelters he found were not able to accommodate his beloved black lab, Jazz. As a result, Jordan and Jazz spent three months homeless on the streets of Boston. Finally, through Pine Street Inn, Jordan found a safe place for Jazz to stay while he got back on his feet and the two friends could reunite.
